Is this healthy weight loss, and other suggestions? I'm 21, and was 230 pounds about 2-3 weeks ago, I have been dieting since then and am at 225 now. I do a light to moderate amount of physical activity. Anyways, I've been consistently eating approx 1500-1700 calories daily for my weight loss. I am in college so it is often difficult to find healthy food, but I am eating mostly fruits and vegetables, tuna, and having lunch meat or bagel sandwitches and running 2-3 days a week. So thats what I doing, could I be doing anything better, or am I doing something not as good as I should. Is that too little calories too eat for my size or can I reduce them even more. Should I be eating other types of food, vitamins, etc. Just looking for some good general advice.

Healthy weight loss while breast feeding? I have a 1 month old and am breast feeding. I would like to slowly start losing some of those extra pounds of fat I put on while pregnant and was wondering what was a safe rate of weight loss while breast feeding. I do weight training about 4 months out of the year for shot put and discus but it doesn't seem to help cut the fat. I am eating 1200 calories per day, and then doing 2 hours of cardio to burn at least 500 calories. how many weeks should it take before I can SEE results (not on the scale, but on my body?) Healthy weight loss for a 15 year old girl? My weight suddenly started to increase dramatically during my freshman year of high school. I went from 130 pounds to 179 pounds in less than a year. I have very long stretch marks all over my body and know that it isn't healthy. Healthy weight loss--have you ever tried just eating plenty of wholesome foods? I'm pushing 50 and climbing over 200 pounds on a 5'10" frame. I'm wondering about just cutting out the junk food and eating a gracious plenty of healthy veggies, fruits, low fat meat, low fat dairy and whole grains. healthy weight loss question? everywhere i look, i see people mentioning, 8 lbs a month, 2 lbs a week, is the MOST you want to lose. I understand the whole crash diet thing and all those other ways to lose weight fast dont work in the long run, but ive got a question. ive lost about 10 lbs in 2 weeks of june so far and am planning to lose more(hopefully) ive done this not by crash dieting, ive been drinking more water, working out at the gym 6 days a week, ive got an EXTREMLY physical job, where i work unloading trucks for UPS about 20-25 hours a week, ive been walking/running 5 miles a day, and then on top of all that, everyday i try and play basketball or rollerblade. my calorie intake is never ever ever below 1200, the so called starvation line, i usually take in 1900-2200 cals a day... on good days(days without any splurging) so is my weight loss for this month healhy? i dont want to gain it all back, but i dont feel like im doing anything wrong. any advice?

Does anybody have any quick, easy, healthy and tasty recipes conducive to weight loss and healthy living? I grew up cooking like a classic midwesterner and most of the recipes I know are fattening. At almost 40 now, it is catching up with me and I need advice on recipes, food ideas and/or some websites that you have tried/tested some recipes. I like all kinds of foods, just don't know how to make the healthy ones. I usually cook for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children so kid friendly is a bonus!). I also would like to be able to pass down more healthy cooking/eating habits to my children so that none of us ends up like my grand parents and aunts & uncles (VERY obese). We have already dramatically cut back on the sodas and junk food, only have it on rare special occasions and don't keep that stuff in the house. Thank you for your help!
